1. Introduction

Welcome to Oceanlancer (“Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using our website, mobile app, or services, you (“User”, “Client”, “Freelancer”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform immediately.

2. Definitions

  • Client: A user who posts jobs/projects and engages freelancers.
  • Freelancer: A user who offers services and performs work for Clients.
  • Services/Jobs: Any work, tasks, or deliverables provided through the Platform.

3. Eligibility

  • Users must be at least 18 years old (or legal age in their jurisdiction).
  • Users must provide accurate information during registration.
  • Accounts may not be transferred or shared without consent.

4. Use of the Platform

  • Clients may post jobs/projects.
  • Freelancers may submit proposals and perform services.
  • Users agree not to misuse the Platform (e.g., fraud, spam, illegal activities, copyright infringement).
  • Any misuse of the service will result in banning the account without guarantee of reactivating it back.

5. Payment Terms

  • All payments between Clients and Freelancers will be subjected to follow their own arrangement.
  • The Platform may not charge the deals between the clients and freelancers.
  • Clients are committed to pay the cost of the service to the freelancers.

6. User Responsibilities

  • Clients must ensure they have the right to request the work and pay agreed amounts on time.
  • Freelancers must deliver work that meets agreed requirements and timelines.
  • Both parties must communicate professionally and in good faith.
  • Be aware that the communication over the platform are subject to be reviewed by the platform team to ensure that there is no misuse.

7. Dispute Resolution

  • In case of disagreement, Users can't request mediation through the Platform.
  • The Platform may review evidence and make a binding decision regarding payments.

8. Intellectual Property

  • Unless otherwise agreed, Clients own the rights to the work once payment is completed.
  • Freelancers retain rights to their pre-existing intellectual property.

9. Prohibited Activities

Users must not:

  • Circumvent the Platform to avoid fees.
  • Post illegal, offensive, adult, or fraudulent content.
  • Harass, abuse, or defraud other Users.
  • Attempt to hack or disrupt the Platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • The Platform is a marketplace facilitator and is not a party to contracts between Clients and Freelancers.
  • We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of services.
  • Liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Account Suspension & Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts if Users violate these Terms, misuse the Platform, or engage in fraudulent activity.

12. Privacy Policy

  • Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy https://www.oceanlancer.com/privacy-policy.

13. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes means acceptance of the new Terms.
